Do you work with brands like Andersen, Pella and Marvin?
Our Brands page explains several well-known manufacturers and product lines so you can compare them. Ask us which lines we can supply for your project and we will tell you plainly.
What is the difference between vinyl, fiberglass and wood windows?
Vinyl is low-maintenance and often good value. Fiberglass is strong and stable with slim frames. Wood and clad-wood offer warm interiors, with cladding on the outside to cut upkeep. We help you compare them for your home.
Should I repair or replace my windows?
If the frame is sound and the problem is a part or a seal, repair can be a good value. If frames are rotted, many windows are failing or comfort and energy are major concerns, replacement usually makes more sense. Our Repair or Replace Advisor gives you a first view.
What do U-factor and SHGC mean on a window label?
U-factor measures how well a window resists heat flow, and lower is better for insulation. Solar heat gain coefficient measures how much of the sun’s heat comes through, and the right number depends on which side of the house the window faces. We help you read the label.
